Officer Code of Conduct: Formal tickets

Formal Swap tickets

The Social Secretaries have a responsibility to send one Social Secretary to lead every formal swap. This Social Secretary is therefore entitled to a free ticket.

Provided there are at least 10 tickets which go on general sale, two Social Secretaries may jointly lead a formal swap and receive half-price tickets.

Social Secretaries may delegate their responsibility to lead a formal swap, and their free or discounted ticket, to an individual agreed upon with the President.

With the permission of the President, and with good cause, the Social Secretaries may reserve additional tickets on Formal Swaps for specific individuals.

Graduate Formal tickets

The Social Secretaries have a responsibility to organise and coordinate Graduate Formals. They are therefore entitled to attend these events for free. These free tickets are not transferable unless they are transferred to someone taking on significant administrative duties during the event.

The Social Secretaries have a responsibility to distribute tickets to guests from other colleges, in reciprocation of the places made available to King’s students for the formal swaps at those colleges.

The Social Secretaries have the right to reserve up to fifteen further tickets to each Graduate Formal for King's students who are performers, DJs, organisational assistants, etc. It is up to the discretion of the Social Secretaries whether these tickets require any payment. The number of such reserved tickets will be publicised when tickets go on sale. Distribution of any more than fifteen additional tickets requires the prior permission of the President.

With the permission of the President, and with good cause, the Social Secretaries may reserve additional tickets for Graduate Formals for other specific individuals.
